Hello! My name is Nicholas Castro-Giovanni but, I go by Nick Giovanni for simplicity.

I’m presently a Senior at Appalachian State University in pursuit of (yep, you guessed it) my degree in Computer Science. Furthermore, I’ve never been very good at writing about myself so here’s a bullet point list of facts about me:

• I’m old enough to drink but too young to be old.
• I’m a libra, if you buy into Astrology.
• I’ve played Guitar and Bass for eight years, Drums for four years, and a myriad of random instruments in between.
• In high school, I worked at a five star steakhouse, Lowes Foods, a Bistro, and ran my own small business, teaching guitar to neighborhood kids.
• I’ve worked for Appalachian State’s IT Department since the first day of my freshman year.
• I’m somewhat of a Tolkienite and I’m not afraid to show it.
• I write compulsively, everything from literary fiction to fantasy to poetry and beyond
• I once made an entire website for my fictional D&D campaign setting
• I’m kind of ashamed to admit that last bit (shout-out to my Sancterra PC’s)
• I firmly believe that experience is the only true teacher
• I also firmly believe that The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Rush, SRV, Albert King, Lightnin’ Hopkins, among others, are the greatest musicians to ever grace the face of the planet.
• Someone once demanded I describe myself with only one adjective, I replied: “prolix.“
